Italy!

On our way out da door to Italy.....First stop Rome, and then to Firenza to see Marzocco. Oh there is so much to say but I need to pack as we are leaving in two hours! Good times........

Moving In & the Home-Barista.com Tamper Roadtrip

Finished moving.

I've been undertaking a huge project masterminded by Dan at Home-Barista.com, the "Tamper Roadshow". We've got somewhere around 12+ tamps lined up to tour the country making its way to participants for trial, experimentation and review of 3 or so tampers. Looks to be fun once it gets rolling for now there are a lot of details to take care of, shipping cases, shipping costs, portafilter basket variables, convex vs flat, and so on. I think it should roll out to the first reviewer in just over a week or so. Fingers crossed.

Check it out though they got a great thread with suggestions as well as pariticapant instructions and a draft of the participant agreement.

Home Sweet Home

Ok, so here we is in our new home, and now it is time to get back to Biz as unusual. New stuff at Espresso parts includes the Espressocraft line as designed by Ken Nye of Ninth Street Espresso, and Bumper tamps from Paul Pratt in Hong Kong. It's kind of crazy that even the designers in the biz are as weel known as the baristi ;-)
Good stuff to be sure. Chatted with TONX earlier in the week , as he an Kyle we picking up Brownwen to go see Black Gold. Some days I feel pretty damn lucky to be involved in such a great trade were everyone works together to create a better product.
