Steaming Pitcher Rinsers!

At SCAA in our tiny little booth we demo'd our new 6" x 6" Steaming Pitcher Rinser. It was a genuine hit and the folks stuck at the office started fielding calls about it immediately on the very first day of the show.

We now have 2 sizes in production, the original 6" x 6" version and a newer 10" x 6" version available for purchase.

Other than the ease of rapid pitcher rinsing and cooling our pitcher rinser offers, it also helps conserves resources by using minute amounts of water for pitcher rinsing.

Solid Stainless Steel Adjustment Collar Pin for Mazzer Espresso Grinders

I just added our new Solid Stainless Steel Adjustment Collar Pin for Mazzer Espresso Grinders. Besides being a new product, the reason this is "blogworthy" is well this part is broke or lost constantly by cafes. If the stock pin breaks at the threads it can be more than a pain removing the remain portion. Manipulating the grind adjustment collar without the pin is do-able but it isn't easy, nor is it as precise. The best news is that this part is no more expensive than Mazzer's stock replacement pin.

FYI. As a way to keep folks informed we'll be doing our best to blog new and exciting stuff. Stay tuned.

SCAA 2008 Report...

2 is the loneliest number at an SCAA show it appears. Espresso Parts traveled very light this year. Terry admirably stayed home for his son's 16th birthday and missed the only SCAA I've known hom to. I thought there was little to no time to accomplish all when there were three of us, but two of us... yikes!

Anyway the USBC finalists are....

Nick Griffith, Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea

Pete Licata, PT’s Coffee Roasting Company

Chris Baca, Ritual Coffee Roasters

Heather Perry, Coffee Klatch

Kyle Glanville, Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea

Drew Catlin, Ritual Coffee Roasters

Congrats folks.

I was finally able to upload a few of my photos. My highlight was playing with Greg Scace's 100-400mm usm L series Canon lens. If you make it to Baca's Specialty drink you can see what a lens like that can do. Thanks Greg! I'll be saving my pennies.

For true up to the minute SCAA blogging check the Live SCAA Blog Site. They are doing a fantastic job. Apparently we leave tonight as soon as we pack up after the show. We'll miss on of my favorite events... The Roaster's Guild wrap up party but I get to see my dog tonight.
